Interface, a manufacturer of carpet tiles, champions sustainability and circularity as core principles. The Interface Young Talent Design Lab, under the guidance of Yksi Connect, entrusted Lotte Gulpers and Lena Winterink with the task of delving into the company's materials and processes.

Their exploration culminated in a communicative installation that serves to visually articulate the intricacies of Interface's carpet construction. The installation ingeniously reveals the six layers constituting Interface's carpets, offering a nuanced insight into the manufacturing process.

Complemented by personal material experiments, the installation visualises a new approach on the industrialised materials the carpet is made of.
